Privacy Policy & PDPA Notice - KM Tracking App

KM Tracking App, provided by Cypher Novus PLT, is designed with privacy in mind. This Privacy Policy is issued in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia. It explains how your data is handled and how you stay in control.

1) Your data stays on your device

Your mileage, expenses, and receipts are stored locally on your phone. We do not collect, receive, or store this data on our servers. We have no access to your personal records.

2) Manual Backup (Pro users only)

The backup feature allows you to export a zip file containing your data. You choose the destination for this file (e.g., Google Drive, iCloud, Files, or other apps). We do not have access to the destination you choose or the file itself.

3) Data we actually collect (minimal)

To keep the app stable and improve reliability, we may collect limited, non-personal technical data, such as:

• App version.

• Device operating system version.

• Crash or error logs.
  

This data does not include mileage, expenses, or receipt content; does not identify you personally; and is used only for debugging and app improvement.

4) Third-Party Services (Subscriptions)

We use third-party services (such as RevenueCat) strictly to process and validate in-app purchases. These services do not have access to your mileage, expenses, or personal records. They only securely process your anonymous purchase history to unlock Pro features.

5) Data we do NOT collect

We do not collect:

• Mileage or trip history.

• Expense or income records.

• Receipt photos.

• Background location or GPS tracking.

• Personal identifiers (name, IC, NRIC).

• Bank, card, or payment information.

• LHDN credentials or tax submission data.
  

All payments are handled securely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

6) Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, nor do we use your data for marketing or profiling. Your data belongs to you.

7) Data retention & deletion

• Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

• Backup files remain in your chosen storage location until you delete them.

• You may delete your data at any time.
  

8) App & tax authority connection

KM Tracking App is not connected to LHDN or any tax authority. It does not submit or validate tax filings and acts only as a personal record-keeping tool. You are responsible for reviewing and submitting your records.

9) Your control

You remain in full control of your data:

• Add or delete records anytime.

• Create or delete backups anytime.

• Unsubscribe from Pro anytime.

• Uninstall the app anytime.
  

10) Children’s privacy

KM Tracking App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect app feature updates, platform or security requirements, or legal/regulatory changes. Updates will be published in the app or on our website.
